How to Create Users in Aronium POS?

When you install Aronium, it will ask you for a user and password. All default options and access levels are set for this user, but you can add more users and restrict their access level using the process shown below.

To create users in Anonium go to Menu and then Management.

Click on Users & security, then click on Add.

A new side page will open with required fields marked in red. Fill the form with the user's information.

There are two important things in the above image I want to talk about.

Access level:

You just give your user a number between 0 and 9. The importance of this number is defined in the security page, which I will elaborate later in this article.

Active:

If this option is turned off, the user will not be able to access Aronium.

Click Save to create the user. It will be added to the list of your current users.

The user is created, it's time to define the security level for the users. In Users & security page, go to security tab.

You can define a number for each operation in Aronium that is shown in this page. What a number in this page means? The users with that number and above can use that operation. For example Management has number 9. It means only users with access level 9 and above can use Management, and a user with access level 5 can't use Management.

To show you its effects on users I gave all options a number. When numbering theses options, just remember what you don't want your users to be able to perform, then number them.

stock

I could have skipped the Management and Stock part, because I had given the Management an access level of 9. This is just an illustration for you on how to number your operations, so I numbered them all. After completing this process go to the top and click on Save.

Now, I am going to sign in as the new user and see what can I do in Aronium. Go to Menu and click on Sign out.

Type in the new user's password and click enter.

When I click on an option that has higher access level it asks for me for password.

This is how you create new users in Aronium POS and define their access level. You can change theses settings at any time. Play with them, create multiple users with different numbers and see which ones work for your business or store.
