How to create payment types in Aronium POS?

In this article you will learn how to create payment types in Aronium POS. Also, you will learn to edit the existing ones.

Creating payment types in Aronium POS

There are already six payment types created by Aronium. They are also shown in the home page.

The existing payment types in Aronium could be all you need. But, if you require a different payment method, you can just edit one of the existing ones.

Edit existing payment types

To edit an existing payment type in Aronium, go to Menu and then Management.

Click on Payment types which will open payment types' page. All available payment types will be listed in this page.

Select a payment type and click edit. It will open a side page for you to edit the payment type.

I changed its name and I turned of Open cash drawer option. Now I have my own unique payment type.

Creating a new Payment type in Aronium.

If the existing payment types doesn't satisfy your needs, you can create your own payment type.
In payment types page click New payment type. Basically, it will open the same side page as Edit payment type, but here you will start from scratch.

Name:

Write down the name of your payment type.

Code:

Give your payment type a code. This field is not required, so you can escape it.

Shortcut key

You can define a shortcut key for your payment type. in this field.

Position

You can define your payment type's position among other payment types in this field. It will just affect its appearance position. You can just leave it with default value.

Enabled

Make this option active if you want to be able to use this payment type.

Quick payment

When this option is checked, just click it from the home page and the payment will be accepted. In the case of this payment type, you have to select the customer too. Thus, it won't be very quick.

Customer required

When this option is active, it will require you to select a customer, otherwise it won't proceed.

Print receipt

If this option is active, it print a receipt every time a transaction is made using this payment type.

Change allowed

This is not a cash payment, so I deactivated this option.

Mark transaction as paid

This determines if you will receive cash instantly or the customer will owe you the money from this transaction.

Open cash drawer

Activate this option only for cash transactions and if you have an electronic cash drawer.

Save

Click Save to create your new payment type.

Once you saved you new payment type, it will be shown in the list of payment types.

Delete a payment type in Aronium

To delete a payment type select it from payment types' list and click Delete.

It will ask your confirmation. Click Yes if you want it deleted, click No if you want to cancel it.
